Dani Brand is a writer and photographer whose work centers around exploring the nuances of womanhood, growth, and societal power dynamics.

Her start in journalism began at LIM College’s fashion magazine, The Lexington Line. Journalistically, she participates in experimental endeavors that require actionable, on-the-ground work to get to the bottom of a story. She is continuing her higher education pursuit at The New School, pursuing a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing (Poetry).

Photographically, she captures the raw beauty of existence in her favorite subjects: people. Dani self-taught herself photography and the accompanying Adobe Suite programs at the age of 14 and has persistently used this skill to adorn her writing accordingly. Her vision, while portrayed well in writing, can only be amplified with a visual component.

During her time at The Lexington Line, she also learned website development and management, and has built several commissioned sites for budding entrepreneurs. She has also won the Paul Violi Poetry Prize.

Dani is a freelance poet, essayist, photographer, and web developer available for commissioned work. Rates and pricing vary dependent on the creative project at hand.
